Eliza Dushku Watch.
A special Thank You to Eliza Dushku for her strong support and
monumental fundraising efforts on behalf of CHAA the past three
years. We are true fans of Eliza and the Dushku family for all they
have done and do to support Camp Hale. As result of the Dushku Family’s
work with CHAA, we will donate over $60,000.00 to USES for capital
improvements to improve or create facilities that will allow for
girls to experience Camp Hale. Such improvements would expand the
programming options for USES at Camp Hale beyond the summer season.
USES has been unveiling girls camping initiatives for some time
and this has been a special interest to Eliza over the years after
watching her three brothers attend Camp Hale. CHAA is pleased to
support such programs so that the life-long benefits of our traditions
can begin to reach entire families -not just the boys.
Chris Cato, CHAA Board Member

Big-screen and tv star, Eliza Dushku has been actively involved
in the Camp Hale experience for many years. Her efforts to raise
funds and awareness for CHAA include eBay auctions of her wardrobe
and souvenir items, fund-raiser events and soliciting donations
from her Celebrity friends for our silent auctions.
In 2009 alone, Eliza helped raise $50,000 through events such as
a fundraiser event held at Boston's Alibi restaurant and the T-Mobile
Celebrity Basketball Shootout - Shot of a Lifetime Sweepstakes event
at the NBA All-Star Game. FYI, Eliza hit 2 of 3 shots to win it
for CHAA!
Eliza's father, uncles, brothers and nephews have all attended
Camp Hale and she has seen the positive effects that it has on young
men. She has worked tirelessly to support Camp Hale through CHAA
while also being a staunch advocate and supporter of fledgling programs
for girls there.
