From The Mailbag -
Scott Roberts

As CHAA's Webmaster I often take pictures or receive pictures of camp to display on the web site.

There's a specific picture that was taken early on a Sunday morning during a Work Weekend. I liked the picture so much I use it as the background picture on my laptop's screen display ( see Image on right or go to http://www.camphalealumni.org/ftmb.html ).

For my day job I travel throughout New England conducting seminars or giving presentations to business owners and leaders and their staff. I'm usually using my laptop during these times. On most occasions someone will ask me about the origins of the picture and comment on its beauty. I have talked to people in upstate VT, Mid and Upstate ME and NH who have all marveled at the image. Which blows me away because they live among the same areas but are still drawn to the image.

Hopefully some of those folks will remain interested enough to visit the web site and make a donation. They certainly seemed to enjoy the uniqueness that is us.

And in all fairness, credit needs to be given to the Methuen Crew, who cleaned up the waterfront and helped make the picture look as great as it does. To see more images of the weekend's effort go to the Work Weekend section of the web site.

And I thought I had a nice picture. You should see what some of our members have. One of our members has a desktop background image displaying a view from Rattlesnake overlooking Squam. FANTASTIC. He needs two monitors to fit it! Have you seen GAZ's 360 degree image of a moon over squam?? You can hear the loons! Contact Ira Kligerman to get a copy of the 2006 Alumni Weekend CD to see / hear it.

What's on your desktop display?. Do you have an image of camp / squam / anything to do with us that people just WOW over. Tell us about it. Contact me at webmaster@camphalealumni.org

See you at camp, Scott Roberts
