Work Weekend 2010

was June 4th - 6th

Though clouds loomed, with a threat of rain at times, we all had an
excellent weekend. All the work was completed including painting the Rec
Hall floor, making new assembly benches, adding a huge light to the
parking lot, massive amounts of debris removed, and setting up the docks
was done, to name a few. We saw a few new faces, and some old ones too.
Once again the group effort was successfully pulled together to help the
boys of Camp Hale.

A big Brackety Axe to all that helped!!! We could not have done it if it
was not for everyone generously donating their time. Thank you all.

A message from Ira K.
Gents,

Please see chairman Jim Farnham's note below. Let's give a loud "brackety-ax" to Jim for his tireless work coordinating the weekend. Also, a big"thanks!" to Jimmy D and Tom Roberts for great meals, "The Methuen Crew" for toiling all weekend. Let's not forget The Hayes Boys, Mark and Elias Elbach, Chris Cato, Dave Pieri, Mark Gaznick, Butchie, Joe Shamatta, Gary Pappas, and Mark Cullinane. Sorry if I forgot anyone.

Ira

To all those who attended work weekend,

Its now been several days since we were all up enjoying the great weather on Squam. -Just wanted to express my sincere thanks and appreciation for all the hard work that was done. It is a great thing that we all can get together, be so productive, and have a good time while we are at it.
Our work and dedication to camp and CHAA has meaning not only in the present, but also in the past and future. I think we all understand the times we are in and the importance of doing what we can to help keep such a meaningful, important program and its traditions moving forward.
I hope to see you all back up at camp soon. In the meantime, I'll be forwarding along an ongoing list of projects to be mindful of as the year progresses. We will be trying to mobilize our resources more than ever in the coming years- I've already received some commitments for next year!

Thanks again,
Jim
