Work Weekend 2011

is June 3rd - 5th

Here is your chance to show your love of Camp Hale / CHAA and spend some time working with friends while enjoying the beauty of Squam Lake.

Camp needs you more than ever to come up for this early June weekend of projects and care for the grounds and facilities.
This annual event continues to be a substantial way that CHAA contributes to USES and Camp Hale, with close to 40 members and friends working- generally contributing about 500 man-hours.

On the docket are carpentry-repairs, screen work, grounds clean up, lots of painting, likely replacement of the floor in the Dining Hall kitchen, and more.

Please let me know (jtfarnham@verizon.net) by May 28th if you're attending. It is very important that we have an accurate list of attendees for food and resource management. You can also sign up on FaceBook thanks to the efforts of Dr. Joe.

Thanks and I look forward to seeing you up there.
~Jim Farnham - Clerk

To all those who attended work weekend,

Its now been several days since we were all up enjoying the great weather on Squam. -Just wanted to express my sincere thanks and appreciation for all the hard work that was done. It is a great thing that we all can get together, be so productive, and have a good time while we are at it.
Our work and dedication to camp and CHAA has meaning not only in the present, but also in the past and future. I think we all understand the times we are in and the importance of doing what we can to help keep such a meaningful, important program and its traditions moving forward.
I hope to see you all back up at camp soon. In the meantime, I'll be forwarding along an ongoing list of projects to be mindful of as the year progresses. We will be trying to mobilize our resources more than ever in the coming years- I've already received some commitments for next year!

Thanks again,
Jim
